CEEPUS 2011 Vrsac-Hunedoara-Cluj Napoca-Ruse-Sofija-Nis

At the time we left at 9 am on 29.06.2011. The first city in the way we wanted Vrsac. A small town on the border with Romania, offered us the first good time. We arrived early evening and settled in the  Hotel  Serbia.  Vrsac, Banat one of the oldest towns, is situated on the southeastern edge of Pannonian Plain, in the foothills of the mountains of Vrsac.

Vrsac is the famous historical monuments of the past from prehistory to the present time. Many characteristic buildings of the 18th and 19 century town house, an old pharmacy (1783), a Baroque building, “Two Gun”, the house where he lived and diedJovan Popovic Sterija, Vladicin palace, churches, old park with monuments, the National Museum (founded in 1882 – the oldest museum in Vojvodina) , a main feature of the old guard towers on Vrsac hill from the early middle Ages, the symbol of the oldestcastle in the territory of Vojvodina. In this city was born  Serbian wrighter John Sterija  Popovic and painter  Paja Jovanovic.  The city  has a professional theater,  publishing has been  developed which leads WAC – Literary Vrsac  municipality.    The city maintains Autumn Theatre Festival,  International  Folk  Dance  Festival.

That evening was the Jazz-Blues Festival. We arrived at the festival last night.  On stage was a group Wressning Crivellaroband. The group was exceptional  and  gave  us 2 hours of beautiful music.

After that we went to sleep and prepare for the next point. The next day we went about 8 hours of Hunedoara, Romania.

In the area of ​​Hunedoara castle is Janjoš Hunyadi (SibinjaninJanka), the liberators  of Belgrade  (also known as Castelul Hunedoara,  or later  Castelul Corvinor,  Matthew Corvinus, who also enlarged parts of the castle).  Huge, real medieval castle was built inGothic style and it is recommended to visit.  The ticket is 3 Euros (12lei), a permit for photography is 5 lei, but admittedly there and do not follow a lot if someone photographed.

After 5 hours we were at the Polytechnic University in Hunedoara.there we were  welcomed by prof.  Marius Ben, his wife Laura, a young assistant  professor  Marcel Topor and Prof. of information technology Adela. These are our old friends, who have   already been 2 times in Banja Luka.  They invited us to  lunch at the restaurant  of the Faculty.

After lunch and 2 to 3 hours spent in Hunedoara we went to Cluj-Napoca  Napoca.  Kluž, or just Cluj (Cluj-Napoca  rum.,  HUN.Kolozsvár,  nem.Klausenburg)  is a city in Romania.  It is located in the central part of the country, the historical part Transilvanija, whose largest city.  However an area of ​​179.5 km ² and 310,000inhabitants (census 2007).  The surface of the second and  third most populated city in Romania.  To 1974. city ​​called  Cluj only. Cluj-Napoca is the administrative center of the Cluj county.

The city is large and has a lot to be seen. We arrived early evening in Cluj and settled in a small hotel above rastoran,  surprising in very good rooms.  We got a  little walk.  The city is very big. For all trips we had to use a car.

The next day we have a very good breakfast and headed by car to the Faculty. I have to mention that this was my first time with a new GPS device,  Blueberry, which proved to be exceptional. I typed the address of the Faculty and set out.

Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Cluj Napoca is located half an hour by car from our apartment. Faculty is very large, so we divided the review of the Faculty of Robotics, Mechatronics and other segments.

After that we were with prof. Dorel Banabic, in his laboratory. In the Laboratory of Robotics I made ​​this film that talks about what was working in the field of robotics.

After we walked around town and squares. The city is beautiful,  with large square and many old buildings. In the center of the town was a concert, so we went to the concert.
